In a meeting at work today I was explaining #Protactile and I told a story about how I used it and said "I find it really helpful, for understanding where things are in space and how they relate to where I am... Like when I'm doing archery." And there was this shocked silence because there is a for real deafblind person telling them about how they shoot arrows. It was so hilarious. And apparently if you want to get people off of a subject just tell them you can't see or hear but you shoot
@Pawpower Also tell them that you regularly set things on fire for an extra freak-out bonus on their part. Entertaining every time.
@arush Do you know, it might be fun to shoot flaming arrows… Combining barbecue and archery into one extra dangerous hobby!
@Pawpower @arush I'm all for this. How about an open space without trees or grass with targets? There could be grass or trees around so long as one stands at the edge of the covered area to shoot.
@ppatel @Pawpower Yeah there typically aren't trees on an outdoor archery range. Just targets at the end of the shooting gallery.
@arush @Pawpower Ah, but, for what Roxe is suggesting, we'd need to create our own environment.
