UCP lost 7 former cabinet ministers in Calgary alone this election:
Former Health Minister Jason Copping (Calgary-Varsity), Mental Health and Addictions Minister Nicolas Milliken (Calgary-Currie), Seniors Community and Social Services Minister Jeremy Nixon (Calgary Klein), Culture Minister Jason Luan (Calgary-Foothills), Justice Minister Tyler Shandro (Calgary-Acadia), former premier Jason Kenney, cabinet minister Prasad Panda (Calgary-Edgemont), and Josephine Pon (Calgary-Beddington). #abpoli

PS, I got this list from an Edmonton Sun article, unsurprisingly attempting to deflect blame from these individuals and their own performance, and to put the blame on some sort of conspiracy or smear campaign against Danielle Smith, lol!

Typical lack of accountability.

All these names are notorious and highly recognizable. They are some of the worst of the worst. I can assure you that each one was rightly voted out on their own merit.

@ned I saw an opinion that they got voted out *because* they were recognisable. That if the less publicly vocal ones were as well known they would have been too… and I wonder if that isn’t true

@HerMamma

Yes and no. They were recognizable because of their great positions of power as cabinet ministers in control of an entire ministry of government control. Power which they flamboyantly abused.

Their fall was totally on them any way you look at it, but for sure they were in the spotlight.

@ned I guess what I meant was that if any of the others were ministers they would have behaved just as badly, and that would have been known. They are complicit in the issues the party has and aren’t any better than the ministers who were in the spotlight, they just didn’t have the opportunity to show it as clearly.
@HerMamma Yup! When you're a bad actor, keeping a low profile is a smart policy. ;)
