Did some re-grouting of shower tiles that were looking iffy. I failed to get grout sealant, though, and I refuse to go to the hardware store this afternoon.

It needs to dry for 48h before I can do sealant anyway.

I keep switching between wanting to sell this house for a condo where someone else handles the big stuff and wanting to do a couple major changes to this house to make it more comfortable long-term. But there are things I just can't do.

Every year???? #diy
Ok hang on. I'm going to go see what Bob Vila says because these search results are all bad and I don't want to follow their advice. #DIY

Bob says to seal 2x a year. Do you reseal your shower grout every six months? Did you know this was the recommended maintenance? #DIY

How to Seal Grout

What kind of grout sealer should you use, and what's the best way to apply it?

@schnee what the fuck. I've lived in this house for almost 8 damn years and my horrible shower cave's grout has yet to be resealed. It has been through so many hair dyes!

@schnee EVERY SIX MONTHS?!

I've lived in this house for over 15 years and never regrouted the tile.

What an onerous job. And having to do it every 6 months? In a residential property?

I call major shenanigans on that.

@jillithd I'll be honest. I'll do it this year, for the first time in the 15 years I've lived here. And I will probably not think of it again.
@jillithd @schnee must be in the pocket of big grout
