#NorthwestTerrorfest kicks off today!

I only know a few of these bands … who should I absolutely not miss?*

(*jk I’m gonna see them all😆)

#metal #metalfestival

Not sure how anyone’s gonna top #Exulansis – and they’re only the second band of the weekend. 💀 Oregon antifascist black metal! #NorthwestTerrorfest

I fucking love this weird band.

#SpiritPossession – don’t tell I ‘em I said “aka The Black Stripes” 🫢🖤)

Todays lineup is ridiculous. #northwestterrorfest
I love these putrefying swamp goblins 🖤 #fetid
#Castrator’s set was a LOVEFEST between crowd and band. 🥰 Secret smiles from the stage after each song, like “holy shit they love us this is AWESOME” #osdm #northwestterrorfest
Happy to inform you that #Horrendous still LOVE playing death metal. ☺️ #smilesformiles
Crushed by the spooky slow motion avalanche of #BellWitch 🖤
I can’t say I don’t love seeing guys my own age goofing around and kicking ass like #Impaled. (and there’s always such a good Bay Area representation at this festival, I love it)

And speaking of antiquities, look at the white hair on our headliners #Autopsy! 🤘🖤

Back at it tomorrow afternoon…

And we’re off!
Holy crap #Solicitor is FUN. Is speed metal literally heavy metal + fast? If the answer is yes, then HERE WE ARE. #NorthwestTerrorfest
Alrighty, the three bands I enjoyed the most today. Denial of Life from Tacoma. Punky and fun, really charismatic singer!
This grim wall of deathdoomblackened something from #Abstracter. Brand new to me, and they delivered one of the most powerful sets of the weekend. I don’t know if this clip will do them justice … but thanks, Oakland!
And finally, the mighty #Drouth from Portland. Complex and riveting black/death, and they seem like great guys, too. 🖤
Another clip from #Drouth. Yeah, I bought the vinyl, too.
@CalyxWorks thanks for sharing pics and reviews. Will definitely check these bands out. The venue looks really cool also
@dinozombie my pleasure! The venue is fantastic for a festival like this – actually two venues in the same building (NEUMOS/Barboza), run by the same people. And they time the sets so you can literally see every second of every band. Amazing.
