The way governance currently works in the Rust project is (yet again) in a broken state, resulting in project wide decisions without proper process or consensus, which results in people getting hurt. The sooner the new council is formed the better (https://github.com/rust-lang/rfcs/pull/3392).

I have many times taken the role of public communicator for the Rust project, both through official channels and my personal accounts, especially in complicated situations. I'll step down from that for a while, as it is burning me out.
