My wok isn’t quite seasoned enough yet so I messed up a recipe tonight and basically carbonized food to its bottom, and made the entire meal smell and taste like smoke to the point of being inedible. Bummer :(

@TashasEv it’s hard not to take it really hard when you’re trying to make a nice meal for your family and it completely and utterly fails. I’m so embarrassed!

@zkat I’m hopeful that you’re family understands! In our house we have a rule - “What’s the worst thing that can happen if dinner is awful? You order pizza, and that’s not so bad.”

@TashasEv oh they were super awesome about it. And I actually bought double the ingredients so I’m trying the same recipe again tonight, now with hindsight, and seeing if I can do any better this time

@zkat (well, mostly because the burners here at my apartment suck, and have very anemic heat output)
