My first "impression" of Impressions, the MS PowerPoint counterpart in Libre Office, is good. But I'm surprised by how it wraps/breaks words at the end of a line.

For example, when typing "C++", if there is no room for the second + at the end of a line, it simply pushes the second + to the start of next line, and you have a line ending with "C+". ๐Ÿ™„

Perhaps PPT does the same, but I don't recall it doing so.

Maybe there is a setting somewhere?

OK, I gave up on Libre Office Impressions and returned to MS PowerPoint online. Too many issues. I just can't afford the time to compensate.

I'm trying out OnlyOffice based on recommendations received here.

So far, I have had to manually uncheck 27 boxes in the installation UI. But I have a feeling (and the hope) the experience will be better in the actual product. ๐Ÿคž

Thanks to these nice people for suggesting OnlyOffice: @funkybuddha @cooopsspace

@smurthys @funkybuddha this might sound outlandish - you donโ€™t have to untick any of those. Just let your operating system deal with default apps.

@cooopsspace @funkybuddha If I'm installing an app for the first time, I don't (yet) want to change my existing default associations.

Also, the main observation here is about UI/UX: making someone check on or off 27 different boxes is ridiculous. Should afford "Check All" and "Uncheck All" operations.

If you don't like it, uninstall it and go back to Office 357 cloud and your defaults will be set back to normal.
None of those file associations are unreasonable for a document editor, Microsoft would have done the same thing - they just wouldn't ask.
