The US has finally decided Australia is worthy of an ambassador.
They’ve chosen an evangelical Christian, a fundamentalist fuckwit, a Republican who couldn’t even hold his seat in Virginia.
Australia, let us make David Brat feel as unwelcome as we can.
Fuck that guy, and fuck the US.
We should raise the tax free threshold to the poverty line. Because people below the poverty line shouldn't pay tax.
The rich absolutely should be paying the lion's share of tax. We shouldn't be removing tax brackets, rather make them more and more aggressive for those who make egregious sums such as Qantas, Australia Post and NBN Co executives.
As I read yet another "shop lifting is surging" article during this cost of living crisis, I want to say this:
If you can't put food on the table you should be legally and morally justified to steal from your big name price gouging supermarket.
Oh but what if "it'll just increase the cost for all customers". Don't worry about it, they're already paying.
People worry a lot about losing knowledge — about "burned-down libraries".
Comparatively few people seem to worry about what happens if you take a billion books full of auto-generated, often-untrue junk text and *add* them all to the library.
In theory, nothing is lost. In reality, everything is lost, because nothing useful can now be found.
As holiday fundraising campaigns continue, remember that the #SalvationArmy is fundamentally an evangelical anti-LGBTQ organization that campaigns against equal rights while pushing its religious agenda.

Installing Windows for the first time in a decade for my parents.
Never before have I seen such a trash tier operating system. It doesn't even feel like you own you own computer anymore.
- Trying to convince you to create a online Live account to use your computer.
- Shoving junk you don't need down your throat. Pinning it all to the start menu.
- Begging you not to download a better browser, begging you again when you change all the web defaults by hand.
- Begging you to use OneDrive.
- Claiming that OneDrive and an online account is a "security" feature.
- Even the god damn Photo viewer app is full of junk now. And the most recommended alternative online is malware.
- Doing it all again when you run a software update.
AND trying to charge you $249.99 for a HOME license on the app store for the privilege of not owning your own computer.
Long live Linux, you'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands.
