In a democracy, billionaires and wealthy corporations pay what they owe. When they don’t, that’s oligarchy.
Just remembered the 2016 debate when Trump insisted he was “smart” for paying next to nothing in personal taxes.
The reply ought to be: “If you cared about the future of our democracy, you’d be like Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, and other billionaires calling for a fairer tax on the ultra-wealthy. If you cared about America as a common undertaking, instead of a zero-sum competition among individuals, you’d know that paying your fair share is a mark of pride.”
Also, YES, he said it. Lied about it subsequently because of course he did (sociopath).
“So the thing you’re talking about and guided by is self-interest. That’s not patriotism; that’s not leadership.”

It’s true. But you don’t debate a fascist to teach him something. Indeed, you don’t debate a fascist. The only reason to share a stage with a fascist is to teach voters something.
"Fun Fact: all those all old billionaires still receive #Socialsecurity money they don't even need. Please stop their check and not mine" - someone who needs it
Exactly.
