Nice summary of the OpenAI hearing but McNaughtons two options of what's going on - advance regulatory capture by tech or admission of dangerous product out of control - surely ignore the obvious 3rd interpn of lord, give me regulation but not yet? When will LLMs be "advanced" enough to need this alleged intervention? When they hit mythical AGI?

@lilianedwards it will be too late for societies, should an AGI be realised, before legislative bodies enact laws. Harm would have already accrued, and any legislation will be significantly more difficult.
