I shit you not, I just drove past a local firing range with a sign outside advertising “kids’ firearm birthday parties”. Complete with primary colors and balloons.
What a fucking dystopia

Right.
Also, "extremely structured" is only how they SHOULD be. It's often not the reality and even without a kid's birthday party going on, many of the people who frequent them are not the most reliable individuals.
Yay capitalism
Jonesboro Arkansas has one that does that. It's a family shooting park owned by the city. They had a mass school shooting in 1998. Westside Middle School. The shooters were two little boys.
@ambercadabra the most disturbing thing about this, to me, is how much I prefer that idea to teaching your kids and their friends to shoot on a camping trip, because you know that's happening.
I learned to shoot as a kid at summer camp by an NRA certified instructor. It makes me shiver to think I was an NRA member before I was old enough to understand what that meant, but at least I didn't lose any fingers or friends.
@ambercadabra Reminds me of my last straw to gtfo the South for good: Driving along the highway and seeing a billboard advertising a
Y2K SURVIVAL AWARENESS AND GUN SHOW
at the convention center. 😨 🏃
