The broader issue is that Biden is deeply unpopular - not in the realm of Hilary, but more unpopular than any democratic president in living memory. Not b/c of likeability or even effectiveness.
It is the very fact that his positives are obvious yet he's still unpopular (for obvious reasons), which speaks to a clear ceiling. Beating trump by a slight margin should not be the bogey - any of the ppl I mentioned earlier can easily beat Trump.

It's not about me - I think he can perform adequately through 2028, but the majority of dems think otherwise. They may be wrong, but why must we try so hard to change their minds when there are clearly more attractive candidates.

@johnserwach @rubecube12 @plutus Fine, thanks. The entire Kanto Plain woke up at about 4:15 am, cuz everyone's cell was blasting the warning. Southern Chiba, but not a major quake. Mostly 3s and 4s on our scale in the metro area. The fours closer to the bay, lower #s toward the mountains. *Very localized 5+ at one Chiba station. That's a bit rough, and about = to what we felt in Tokyo from the Tohoku quake in 2011. But we felt that for nearly 3 minutes back then. In Chiba, that motion was likely only 15-20 seconds.

The awakening did not just happen on the Left; the mindset of soccer moms and college educated GOP are more racially triggered than they have been in the past 1/2 century.
