I know, I am old school! I still use GTD techniques in my time management. One of which is the Inbox. I collected some of my thoughts on the topic here.

@TfTHacker Iāve found that a daily look in the inbox with the intention to take care of the most important things while moving the rest to a separated list that gets processed once a week serves me well.
That way, I donāt miss high priority stuff but also not spend time to organize things that arenāt of any value. Cause the thing is that when I process the āweekly inboxā, a lot of things on that list, a lot of it gets deleted instead of incorporated into my GTD system.
@anders This is a great idea. you call it a triage approach right?
Can you tell me a bit more about the Weekly Inbox. I think this is one fine-tuning I'd like to add.
@TfTHacker Yeah, somewhat of a daily triage of my inbox where I only take care of what's urgent. Everything else is moved to a list called "Temporary storage" which is processed during my weekly review.
The benefits I see with this approach is two:
1. Processing the inbox takes time. By only fully processing inbox items that I need I have to handle before next weekly review, the time spent there on a daily basis is kept at a minimum.
@TfTHacker 2. During my weekly review, I find that a lot of stuff can be deletet.
(The reason to move things to the temporary list is so that I don't need to spend time think about them during every daily shutdown routine.)
@anders I really see the value in what you describe. may I please ask. What is your primary capture inbox? Where is your weekly inbox and how do you move the items into it? (Keep the flow and speed is what intrigues me?)
You should write up an article :-)
