@miriamrobern wow. A friend of mine did a book for a video game company nearly 30 years ago and that was the rate then. I wasn’t expecting it to be so low now.
@Oiselarius TBF, video game company is a completely different business context. And 5/w is the floor. Ideally pay more.
@miriamrobern hmmm. See here’s my problem with that. The work is the same whether it’s a video gaming company, a tabletop gaming company, or an oil company… OK maybe more STEM ed with an oil company… but it’s still the same work. The type of work should determine the rate, not the type of industry.
