Most traffic enforcement today focuses on low effort, low cost violations like speeding on highways and illegal parking. Officers don’t want to go to court to back up, and most speeding violators don’t contest. The cities and states like the easy revenue. But illegal u turns, wrong lane behavior, failure to stop for crosswalk/ambulance is largely ignored.
