@ximenaka cherry on top is that if youre a SEA indian, you get crapped on and abused for having english as your primary language to a degree that matches with the local one or surpasses it. Get claimed to be elitist, anti-national and what not when its literally a crucial and intimate medium of communication for a lot of us.

It is hard for me to define what billingual or fluent means but to me it indicates a minimum f basic daioy conversational level not tourist level. If barely communicates counts then I speak like seven languages lol.
