Fully 294 pages into the 316-page #Durham review and then it just concedes that the predication of Cross Fire Hurricane was validly predicated because of the low standard required, as was independently confirmed by OIG, and that it could have been opened under any of several different justifications ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@Pwnallthethings They're called 'conclusions' because you put them at the end

@todwest @Pwnallthethings so your Siri is that when you are writing an incredibly important document meant to be read by high level decision makers, you put the most important information 300 pages into the document.

"Tell me you have never worked in a big organization without saying..."

You put that shit right up front. In reports. In legal briefs. In anything of any importance that you ever write.

@todwest @Pwnallthethings so your Siri? What?

Sorry - should have been "theory."

@amoshiashwili @Pwnallthethings I guess I should have used the sarcasm font
@todwest @Pwnallthethings lol! Yep. It's America in 2023 and that sounded exactly like something someone would say and think they were winning an argument :-)
@Pwnallthethings The news reports could have been so simple.
DOJ’s IG: “The investigation was properly predicated.”
Barr and Durham: “Not so”
Durham after 4 years: “Not so, though there are lots of legitimate reasons why it was”
But here’s my theory I’ve lost twice w/ a jury: “It was Hillary that done it”
@Pwnallthethings That's a heck of a null result.
@Pwnallthethings “...would support such an approach.” It didn't feel like it was going there. It didn't want to go there. But it always had to.

@Pwnallthethings @mythserene I don’t get that part. “We should have used less aggressive surveillance because the stuff we used didn’t yield anything.” That’s what it reads like to me. It’s not like they knew from the get-go they wouldn’t get anything.

Also I still do not understand what 1st Amendment issue he claims is at stake. Freedom of speech? Of the press? Religion? Assembly? An investigation impinges on none of those things, whether full or preliminary. 🤷‍♀️

@queenofnewyork @Pwnallthethings @mythserene There's a 4th amendment issue, but the right would generally like to pretend the 4th doesn't exist.

@Pwnallthethings
Which was known before the investigation even started.

Durham will have disappointed his paymasters, I haven't even seen MAGAts on twitter claim that Durhams report means Trump is fully exonerated and Hunter Biden should be prosecuted.
