As the budget chair Assemblymember Phil Ting is decreasing funding for transit by $2B while maintaining funding for highways at $20B

Tell Ting that we must fund transit, like we do highways, so people can choose a form of transportation that doesn't burn the world

Even if you believe electric SUVs are the future, we need a solution now for the millions transit riders in California

It will cost hundreds of billions to purchase us all EVs, and many of us cannot drive even if we did have access to a car

Add to that $20 billion in highway repairs and hundreds of billions in highway expansions to handle all the new cars on the road

The only fiscally responsible thing to do is to invest $2 billion in transit, instead of a trillion in car infrastructure

@bryanculbertson any idea which phone number is better to call?
@sanae @bryanculbertson i just called his SF office and they asked for my name, but not if I was in his district so I'm guessing they're not tracking this very well.

@shfo @bryanculbertson I called the San Francisco office and the guy there was very nice. Although at first I thought it would be an answering machine and I kind of monologued for a minute

Also apparently they know where I live and have a file on me, lol

Glad to know my emails are getting read I guess
