I just rewatched Blink. One of the finest #DoctorWho episodes of any era.
It feels like very a long time ago since the stories were this good...
Here's hoping for a return to the quality of these episodes.
#DoctorWho
@Richard_Littler How much can our heart break... ;..)
@Richard_Littler It’s firmly number one for me, such great work
@Richard_Littler That whole 05-10 era to me really gave me a really good first taste of science fiction when I was growing up. Absolutely excited to see the second RTD era.
@Richard_Littler
- “How can you know what I’m going to say forty years ago?”
- “Thirty-eight.”
@Richard_Littler oh gosh that's a great episode
@Richard_Littler I just played the phone game based on it. It wasn't bad!
@Richard_Littler Always ironic. One of the best episodes of Doctor Who...and it's a Doctor-Lite one! Even more impressive.
@Richard_Littler it's my favourite of the modern Dr Who era.
@Richard_Littler That "Sally Shipton" bit gets me every single time. 😂
@Richard_Littler
Giving my age away here: I was about twelve when that episode aired and I genuinely had nightmares after watching it.
@curry @Richard_Littler I was a whole ass adult, and, same.

@Richard_Littler I started watching Doctor Who because of this episode! Had never found the right place/reason to start, all my friends were either already deep in or not interested.

Then someone told me to watch this.

@Richard_Littler If I had to pick two it would be this one and The Doctor’s Wife.

@Richard_Littler

Blink is the very first Dr Who episode I ever happened to watch. It made me a fan. Amazing.

@Richard_Littler a couple of years back someone restored the old house where it was filmed and it looked amazing. From memory it was on Fields Park Ave, Newport.

The line where a guy with a very non-Hull accent, in a very non-Hull landscape, says "you're in Hull!" does make me laugh a bit though, especially as I was in Hull when I first saw it

@Richard_Littler @chrisbrennan One of the very few since the reboot that really feels like Doctor Who, not easy given how much the format was changed. Clever, scary, atmospheric.
@Richard_Littler @NatureMC yes, Blink! was quite amazing.
Not sure of the title, but "the impossible child" was great, too if I remember that correctly
@Richard_Littler One of the finest hours of television in any genre.
@Richard_Littler top notch episode & the best companion we never had !
