#Histodons, especially art historians, I am puzzling over a ceiling painting and hope you can help me. It's about God's hair.

There are depictions of God with half baldness (in my case: Nazarene style, modelled on Paolo Veronese) or depictions with full hair. When and why did the "fashion" change? Or does it depend on the artist?

In the attached, not listed toot some more background information.

I am specifically interested in a ceiling painting of Mary's coronation by the Trinity. As I said: Nazarene style, modelled on Paolo Veronese. God has a half bald head, as is so often the case with Veronese. During renovation work in the 1960s, the painting was professionally cleaned, but with minor colour additions: God a few more hairs, even a fringe painted over it.
This is the painting in question after veronese, in which God is now resplendent with a full head of hair.
