@Catawu It's Korean TV series--which are wonderful. I've been watching just for the past few months and there are hundreds of them so I'll be watching for a long time.
@Catawu I've watched a few Japanese dramas as well--so good. Do you know enough Japanese to understand the actors? The subtitles in the Korean shows seem too simplistic. I get cues from body language and tone, but it's a bit frustrating.
@BlueNJZoe I used to. Back in the 70’s. Our assignments were to summarize the characters connections to the story. In Japanese. I’ve lost my Japanese (High and Common) and my German (High and Low) from lack of use. My Spanish kicks in from time to time, thanks to friends with whom I remain forever connected.
@BlueNJZoe I summarize Japanese this way: There are this many rules (hands wide apart) and this many exceptions, (Fingers pinch together). Once you get the syntax, it flows like wine. Syntax is key to all the language learning I did back in the day.
