@skinnylatte I keep having to remind people out here that the Internet in the 90s used to be about all those things... and drive-by images of gore and pornography.

I mean, look, maybe that was preferable to social media in general destroying democracy, but let's not idealize it. The default mode of 90s Internet was basically 4chan.
