By popular demand, I took a look at #Nobara, the gaming focused derivative of #Fedora.

I compared the default experience, various ease of use tweaks, controller support, gaming performance, and highlighted the major differences, after installing both distros on the same device.

So, is Nobara truly better than Fedora for gaming? Let’s see!

Nobara in my opinion is a good distro for a tinkerer who likes a proper desktop. It isn't stable for one, sometimes when switching major versions of nvidia drivers, you need manual intervention to actually update the drivers.

The distro is kinda like proton-ge. Not needed for most, but is interesting and boosts performance to those that need it at the cost of stability. Also it comes with auto-cpufreq installed. It's an amazing tool for battery life on laptops.
