Do not fall for these misguided arguments.

Most of the time people use end-to-end encrypted apps to talk about the most mundane things.

Sometimes vulnerable people use end-to-end encryption to protect themselves and stay safe.

We should keep and cherish encryption.

We should demand it everywhere.

End-to-end encryption protects our human right to privacy and safety.

@Em0nM4stodon I see even the fediverse cannot divest us of the wackadoodle nutjobs that think it's possible to create secure encryption that also lets the cops get access to it.

First, the cops are bad.

Second, math does not work that way.

Full stop, end discussion. We either get the protection encryption offers us or we don't. And anyone who's cavalier enough to suggest we don't need it (... ugh, which has also happened in the last 60 days...) is either vastly out of touch with any kind of tangible reality, or trolling.
