I have been thinking about the Steam Deck recently - is it good?
@sayomgwtf if you play less demanding single player games then it is 100% worth it. I haven't been this happy with a gaming purchase since I bought a 360 controller to play emulators in highschool. Get the cheapest model and a quality SD card (I got the Samsung EVO plus), look up a guide to move your shader cache to the SD card which takes 3 minutes, then you're good to go.
I barely touch my PC, PS5, or Switch now

The Steam Deck seems to be the purest dream of every retro gamer. I'm saving money for it right now. Looking forward to it incredibly. It's supposed to be wonderful for adventure games, too.
