A very exciting Sunday: swapped out my gas stove for full electric with induction hobs! The most satisfying moment was when the gas engineer capped off the end of the pipe and made sure there were no leaks. My kitchen is now emissions free - no need for a carbon monoxide detector.

Next step is to swap out the gas boiler for a heat pump, hopefully within the next couple of months, and then we can disconnect the gas supply.

Hope your supplier has done an adequate assessment of your heating load and the ability of your heat delivery system to provide the demand.
Keep reading about heat pumps being fitted in homes where the radiators are inadequate.
I know by experimenting with a lower flow temperature that my system needs a costly upgrade to piping and rads.
Grants (in Scotland) are on hold until October. Great.

@weematt where are you hearing that heat pumps installs are inadequate?

I've had a few assessments including one by an independent heat specialist and they all point to the same conclusion: I can probably manage with the existing rads running at 55C flow temp or increase the rad sizes and reduce the flow temp down to 45C. I'm going with the latter.

Hi Paul.
Mostly via YouTube vids on the subject. If I can find some I will post them.
One guy got a survey based quote that called for an 18kW air sourced heat pump. The guy reckoned about 5kW was fine. He went on to get the smaller one and it is fine.
