@jgrandy So radical. What a big leap for iPad as a platform. Great job!

@jgrandy

People have been begging for #FCPX on iPad for a long time. I hope this is a sign that big things are coming for Final Cut Pro and Apple will be giving it some love and promotion.

"Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for iPad will be available on the App Store as subscriptions starting Tuesday, May 23.

Subscriptions?

@kbsez @jgrandy $5 a month, $50 a year.

@marcplanb @jgrandy

Yeah, just saw the price --- I wish they could just skip the monthly nonsense and just make it an "annual license".

Is this Tim's way of telling me I need to buy an iPad Pro?

@jgrandy Congrats to you and the team!
@wplate Thanks, Wes! That means a lot.

@jgrandy Finally! Thank you.

I have some mild concerns about who the target market is for this, and how comparable it’ll be to the Mac version. (Is it the Mac app on iPad? Doesn’t quite look like it…)

But, I’m so glad it’s finally here. Well done!

I hope that I can find a way to fit this into my team and I’s production workflows. I’ll almost certainly end up buying a new iPad that can run this, just to give it a try. I hope to be pleasantly surprised!

@jgrandy congrats! it must have been a huge undertaking.

@jgrandy This is quite exciting! Especially seeing the news templates and effects in the screenshots. Also looking forward to 10.6.6!

…I type as i watch 10.5.6 take 5 min to render audio waveforms on a Mac Studio Ultra.

(nudge nudge wink wink)

@jgrandy Super congratulations to you and the whole team!!! Can’t wait to try everything!

@jgrandy congrats!

now, request time: could you PLEASE let us override the darn "copy to library / leave in place" feature in FCP?! I copy cards to my server and yet I cannot leave in place because FCP sees the resulting folder of media as a card. Nope, never has been for all these years.

@tweak @jgrandy just don’t use the import window. Drag and drop from the Finder, that what I always do.
