May 8th ice update!
The bad news is, there's still ice on Sawbill Lake. The good news is, it's degraded enough to necessitate our trusty aluminum canoe to get far enough out to measure.
Total ice/slush is 19"
Only 5" of that can generously be called ice, the rest is porous and slushy.
It's going to go quicker than you might think now!
