This year for my birthday my wife organized a bunch of people to chip in on a fund to replace the Korg M1 #synthesizer I had to sell long ago when we were in dire financial straits. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite enough to get an M1 in good shape…but it *was* enough to get a T3, which is basically an “M1 on steroids”. Because the M1 is so iconic and the T3 was marketed poorly, prices for it tend to be lower despite it being the more powerful big brother of the M1!
