as a former kid who did that in the age of incandescent bulbs and low-capacity NiCads I have to say there was a time when keeping enough batteries charged was so, so much harder.

@llewelly @mcnees Haha yes, this brings up, for me, the memory of reading light batteries burning out, leading to borrowing a nightlight from the bathroom with the dimmest bulb on the planet, plugging it in in between my bed and the wall, and crouching on the floor with the book as close to it as it could get.

my parents were not intentionally enabling so i was super lucky to have access to some plug-in rechargeable flashlight, not sure the brand but something like this:
