Texas is an absolute shit-hole with their lack of common sense protections for its citizens.
These things can be fixed. And yet, only about 50% of registered voters participated in the 2022 election.
@TexasObserver @gusbova This is the result of the corrupt SCOTUS decision on Citizens United, compliments of the anti-democracy Federalist Society oligarchs: corporations don't want govt. restrictions or regulations on ruthless corp. policies. No unions or wage laws to prevent them using the most vulnerable humans as grist for greed.
Here's their plan, from 1980. No labor laws; child labor is now being legalized in GOP states.
Because being billionaires isn't enough for them.
