👀 🚲 Tempe is gearing up for building out the next BIKEiT route, 'Reflector,' along Country Club Way south of the US-60 bike/ped bridge.

Before the council this evening is a contract for the design and construction of the project:

It's calling for "buffered/protected bike lanes," let's hope we can get the council to call for actually protected lanes.

@jket If the members of the council had actually ridden on a buffered bike lane and a protected bike lane they would never conflate the two again. It's so difficult to get the people making these decisions onto bikes on the road to understand the challenges.

@ryanvgates yup, and Tempe is really behind the game on protected infrastructure compared to a lot of other similar sized cities. Hopefully that trend can start moving in the right direction.
