@MattO Do we need all of them? Kidding aside, I’ve not reconciled the fact that the geekiness required to join is a de facto gatekeeper. I like the result (so far) but not the de facto elitism. I’d like more voices, but when it’s wide open unfiltered humanity seems- unpleasant.

@omnedon @MattO You may be kidding, but you’re not wrong. The experiment of Mastodon will be interesting - hopefully individual servers won’t grow to the point that moderation becomes an insurmountable task - which is where the problems start on other platforms.
