There are many different sides to the "Dave Debate"

Should people named Dave exist? Should they have rights? Are they people at all?

I'm not anti-Dave, in fact I am a great supporter of Daves. I just think we need to ask some questions. But if you ask these questions people get so mad.

Shouldn't we at least have a sober reasonable discussion? What's wrong with that?

@atomicpoet @futurebird According to Connor DeWolfe, DAVE stands for Dopamine Attention Variability Executive Dysfunction, the new name for ADHD. Personally, I agree with him. 😁

@courtcan @atomicpoet @futurebird If the problem people have with ADHD is the 'disorder', I don't understand how this - with its 'dysfunction' - is better. It's a change that confuses but doesn't actually improve anything.

@lmgenealogy @atomicpoet @futurebird if I recall correctly, Connor's (tongue-in-cheek) critique of the term ADHD came from the attention deficit part. Because people who have ADHD are absolutely capable of focusing their attention on something that interests them,often to the utter exclusion of everything else. That's where the DAVE "variability" comes in.
