Is there a reliable way to *roughly* estimate the power output of a laser by sight? At least to an order of magnitude?
I bought a lightsab–err, laser pointer off of TEMU and it seems a lot stronger than what it's labeled for.

@psistarpsiii yee. I knew they were brighter than red but this is FAR more than I've used before. The beam itself is consistently visible with moderate lighting
@d1pl0mat your eyes are a lot more sensitive to green than red!
@psistarpsiii I think the other thing is that I'm really used to crappy dollar store laser pointers with cat paws on them. This step up in power just feels like a bit of a shock
Fissile@d1pl0mat How much is it supposed to be? Once in a lecture, the laser pointer in the hall was broken and a student gave his pointer to the lecturer. I think it was a 5mW green laser and still everybody in the room had to look away for a moment, when they used it for the first time...
