Did they really not think to implement a block function? Haha, before Musk even took over Twitter, I had blocked over 1500 people. Instead of seeing dumb comments from trolls, I just blocked and reported and my experience was all the better. Part of free speech is the part where you don’t have to listen to people.

@RowinSpeez no. as i've explained like a dozen times already they DID "think" to implement a block function, but they couldn't implement the block function until the federation functionality was ready. the reason block came later was because they wanted to make sure it worked across federated instances, which is trickier than centralized.
