#Khattak, who monitored human rights abuses, including enforced disappearances in the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), was detained after his car was stopped by security agents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In December 2021 he was tried by a military court under the Pakistan Army Act and sentenced to 14 years in prison."
