Chaos@mmasnick seems like the story about having to federate first might have been stretching the truth. They didn't prioritize blocks for whatever reason and then realized that was a mistake.

For example, how is Elon allowing invites to blue sky to go out on Twitter without backlash but he initially blocked all things to mastodon and substack?
