Nothing says the Supreme Court needs a code of ethics like a justice accepting free luxury travel from a GOP billionaire megadonor who also had business before the Court.
Clarence Thomas’s Billionaire Friend Did Have Business Before the Supreme Court

Justice Clarence Thomas said he was advised he didn’t have to disclose private jet flights and luxury vacations paid for by billionaire Harlan Crow because, although a close friend, Crow “did not have business before the court.”

@rbreich we knew that. No one does anything for "free".

@rbreich In the unlikely event a revised code of ethics is implemented for SC justices, I hope it extends to their families.

Came across this apparent impropriety/national security concern today: https://mastodon.online/@ampersine/110067345088436865

Attached: 1 image During the summer of 2021, in Aspen, Colorado, someone bought an acre of land for $10 million. Just eight months later in the spring of 2022, they sold it for $76.5 million, earning an incomprehensible $65 million profit in less than a year's time. The lucky profiteer is the cousin of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. And the buyer who gave him tens of millions of dollars "too much" is apparently a Russian oligarch. https://www.aspentimes.com/news/moscow-tie-lingered-for-1a-developer/

@rbreich the Clarence Thomas corruptions staggering and must be addressed. Good old boy network is out of control.
@rbreich it's very depressing to see that the sanctity of SCOTUS has been undermind by these soulless oligarchs
