Bater Kari@GottaLaff During the summer of 1988, I was treated for malignant fibrous histiocytoma, a soft tissue sarcoma. I needed 2 surgeries to remove the tumor, along with reconstructive surgery to rebuild my leg. That was followed by multiple radiation therapy treatments over a few months. Luckily chemo was not required.
2 years ago I was finally discharged from the oncology clinic at my local VA hospital. My oncologist declared I was cured. I consider myself blessed and I have been humbled.
