A friend told me when your kids are teenagers, they are more willing to communicate with you by text. I communicate with mine by physical therapist. We see the same one, and I'll talk about my teen and the PT will tell her what I said. My teen's amused because they'll say "I cannot tell you when I saw your mom because: HIPAA" and then tell her everything I said.
