One of the things I’ve always been most intrigued/impressed by as we’ve traveled around #Europe over the years in #TheVan is that no matter what conflicts have occurred we all have pretty much the same road signs. My favourite being that the zebra crossing appeared for the 1st time in 1951 in England, Slough. And yet it is now used everywhere, and not just in Europe but around the whole world. Human beings can be truly remarkable when they pull together. #RoadTrip
@CatherineRussell2 It's interesting how many things we share with the rest of the world. Two I can think of is stamps and cash. The slough zebra crossing is no longer there unfortunately, a little piece of history lost but not forgotten.
