Jay UlfelderI don't know if the increasingly open calls from right-wing influencers for violence against trans people and their allies are heartfelt or cynical ploys to draw attention, but as someone who's studied ethnic conflict and mass atrocities, I know that it doesn't matter; dangerous speech has the same effect either way.

Robert Stribley@parkermolloy @jayulfelder I'm so sorry. I grew up within religious fundamentalism, know what they'd like to do and what they're capable of. I escaped in the 90s. So I believe you and hear you. They're desperate to maintain control and don't mind who they throw under the bus to ensure they do.
