Just got a #scam call claiming to be #telstra. They told my IP was changed from private to public in the last few days. I asked to call them back to verify they're from Telstra and they gave me the real Telstra support number! Wild.

@atruskie what was the goal? Like, pay to make it a private IP again? What a strange scam. Most people have never even heard of an IP address before.

@aeternum I think most people have but it is a meaningless "internet" term. Add in oh no your private thing is now public and you get some proper scare mongering in there.
