The story of my beer.

Beer is said to be an "acquired taste". That's a fancy way of saying it takes work to like it.

And that's mostly true! That's my story with coffee and cigarettes. Took work.

But in the case of beer: I was very hot and tired and thirsty one teenage day, and a (bad) beer was *amazingly* refreshing. Plus it had some alcohol in it, which got me a little high.

And my brain was primed pro-beer.

By adulthood I drank beer every day.

Well, it turns out that people can make beer that I absolutely love. First I discovered Hop Stoopid. Then it disappeared. Then I discovered Stereohopic and that disappeared. Then I settled for something okay-- Little Sumpin' (why do they all have silly names?), but occasionally I tried a six-pack of something different.

Tried Aurora Hoppyalis. Best. Beer. Ever.

As far as I know it is only sold in the Echo Park Vons. (Presumably it is for sale places I don't go.) It is not always in stock. So sometimes I have beer I absolutely love. Sometimes not.

Tonight not. Today Vons did not have Aurora Hoppyalis.

Today I bought Tangerene Express and will report tomorrow.
