@jayrosen_nyu "The Stakes" for conservatives are things like gun seizures, destroying Christianity, baby murder, the emasculation of Good White Men, grooming and more.

Saying that journalists need to focus on the stakes still leaves plenty of room for manipulative shenanigans.
