Cats man 😫

She came in through the cat flap, found the carpet in a tiled room and vomited on it. As I'm cleaning that up, she starts retching again. I put a paper towel in front of her which she deftly avoids, plopping another one on the carpet. And to top it all off, she goes straight to the door to be let out again.

THERE WAS A WHOLE WORLD TO VOMIT ON OUTSIDE

Turns out that wasn’t the end of what they had in store for me today. Came back from shopping (cat food, of course!) and stored the goods in the garage. The trail of blood I pathed into the living room alerted me to the dead bird they’d left and which I’d stepped on in the garage 😫

@finestructure My boy, Mike, always barfs is sets of 3! …usually at 3AM. Bissel makes a good carpet cleaner machine, if you want a suggestion. 😺

@finestructure 😂 Our carpet is ruined thanks to cats. Do you ever get the mournful yowl before the vomit? I could go from a deep sleep to up and moving in a nanosecond if I heard that sound in the the middle of the night.

@ThorsdaysChild 😅 No, never had that - sounds terrifying! What good does the moving do though? I’ve never managed to prevent any puke incidents, they always find their way to some carpet 🤣

@finestructure In our case it was usually runny vom on our carpeted stairs and it would end up over several steps. The kind best cleaned up asap before it soaked into the carpet. In hindsight I preferred to be woken up to deal with it, as other times I managed to step (barefoot) onto the offending puddle #Squelsh 🤢

@finestructure my dear tomcat always tries to go outside through his catflap when he has to vomit.😻😻😻😻😻
btw i changed his diet to dry food only and vomitting almost stopped completely.

@MettEagle What a good boy! Mine almost get croquettes and exclusively, too. This morning she threw up grass though. The big and disgusting advantage of dry food is that when they vomit that it’s only half digested and it gets … recycled.

That’s how I found out this afternoon one had puked under the comfy chair, possibly the same one as this morning. My big & greedy tomcat made munching noises…

It’s been a day, I tell you.
