Today’s Republican Party, while claiming to stand for limited government, stands for government intrusion everywhere. They are:

-Outlawing abortions.

-Prohibiting teachers from teaching about America’s racist past.

-Making it harder to vote.

This is not limited government.

@rbreich Florida is literally attacking a business. They aren't even pro business

@rbreich

- Outlawing trans people

- Subjecting children to genital inspections

@rbreich

Texas just passed a law stating the Ten Commandments be prominently featured in every public classroom.

@rbreich There is a very big difference between a "Limited Government" and an "Underfunded Government".
@rbreich by limited government, I think they mean government limited to serving group A people. Republicanism and conservatism in general is founded on the assumption that there are groups A and b among humanity and group A should be protected but not limited by the laws of society and group b should be limited but not protected by those same laws. Limited government just limits the benefits of government to group A
@rbreich I stopped voting Republican when they nominated a Christian Nationalist for VP (Pailin) and Bush gave the banks lots of free money after they destroyed the economy. Then I started looking at what the Democrats were saying and they made sense while the Republicans decided to make reality a partisan issue.
@rbreich
Oh they intend to use the state to limit many things, friend. Many many things.
@rbreich They also claim fiscal responsibility whenever they aren’t in control and yet spend money like water when they are. Greedy
@rbreich And they are investigating (or trying to) the justice dept or anybody that has gone against Trump. Why the hell are they not doing something for the country that is good! I have republican friends of mine that are even ticked off that they arent working on helping their own constituency!
