@chrismessina I've always felt that while a lot of right wingers claim to be anti-establishment, in reality they're just very resentful of the establishment for not letting them be part of it.
@kennykravitz Right. But then once they become it... will they be more inclusive of others, or maintain their resentment? And if so, round and round we go.

They never understood it... I was explaining to somebody recently that the blue check didn't *confer* importance, it *recognized* it. Like getting a trophy for running a race.

It's not the same if you go out and buy your own trophy.
