@dgar Incognito mode is to prevent the next person using the computer from knowing what website you were on.

It's for shared computers. That's the use case.

Can we stop ragging on it for working just fine at the one thing it's supposed to do because it doesn't happen to solve whatever other thing you care about today?

@sagefault @dgar I also like to use it for Websites, where I don't want their tracking cookies to stay. Especially Chrome started to store even session cookies across restarts by default. And it may just help to e.g. not see advertisements for that thing you ordered for your mom all day
